At the collection counter the DPU reads the weight, pulls FAT and SNF straight from the milk analyser over RS232, looks up the rate chart and prints the member's slip — instantly, with no PC. Rate charts (FAT/SNF and FAT/CLR) load from a pen drive or get typed in on the keypad, so every society runs its own pricing.

Three ways to compute the rate.
Every society prices milk differently, so the DP44 carries three rate engines. Set FAT and SNF rates with a bonus or deduction, or load a full rate chart from a pen drive — switch modes from the menu.
FAT–SNF rate
A direct formula on FAT and SNF, with separate bonus and deduction rates built in.
SNF rate chart
A full FAT × SNF lookup table — typed on the keypad or downloaded from a pen drive.
CLR rate chart
FAT × CLR pricing with TSF / CLR range limits for cow and mixed milk.
