What it does

In one minute.

A complete weighbridge from one vendor: platform, load cells, indicator, software and installation. Pitless decks for easy cleaning and drainage; pit-type where space is tight. Sized for your deck length and the heaviest vehicle you weigh.

How to choose

Pitless or pit-type?

The platform weighs the same either way — the difference is the civil work and your site. Here is how buyers decide.

Pitless — above ground

The deck sits on a low foundation with approach ramps. Cheaper civil work, and the underside stays open so it is easy to clean, inspect and drain.

  • Lower civil cost
  • Easy cleaning & drainage
  • Needs ramp space front & back
  • Best where you have the room

Pit-type — flush with the road

The deck sits in a pit, level with the yard — no ramps. Trucks can approach from any direction, ideal for tight sites, at higher civil cost and with more attention to drainage.

  • No ramps — saves length
  • Approach from any direction
  • Higher civil cost
  • Best where space is tight

Not sure which fits your yard? Send us the site and we’ll recommend one with the foundation drawing.

What drives the price

Weighbridge questions, plainly answered.

What does a weighbridge cost?
Price is driven by capacity and deck length, whether it is pitless or pit-type (the civil work differs), the number of load cells, and any automation — ANPR, RFID, boom barriers — plus the software. Send your deck size and heaviest vehicle and we itemise it in 24 hours.
Pitless or pit-type — which is cheaper?
Pitless usually costs less in civil work and is easier to clean and maintain, but it needs space for approach ramps. Pit-type sits flush and fits tight sites or multi-direction access, at higher civil cost. We help you choose for your yard.
Do you build the civil foundation too?
We supply the foundation drawing and supervise the work; the civil construction is usually done by a local contractor to our specification. We can recommend one in many regions.
How long does installation take?
Once the foundation has cured, a typical install and on-site calibration takes two to four days, depending on deck length and how much automation is fitted.
Is it Legal Metrology approved?
Yes. The system ships with the documentation set for Weights & Measures verification, and our engineers calibrate on site so the bridge is ready for stamping.
Can I automate it later?
Yes. ANPR, RFID, boom barriers and the weighbridge software can be added to an existing Prime bridge. We size the bridge so you can start simple and expand.
