Double-Ended Ball Type Load Cell
If you have ever stood next to a weighbridge while a loaded tipper rolls on, you have seen why this cell exists. It re-centres itself every time the deck shifts — which is exactly what a road weighbridge needs.
- Double-ended shear-beam body
- Self-aligning rocker pin set
- Hermetically sealed, IP68 / IP69K
- Nickel-plated alloy steel

The cell most weighbridges run on — designed, sealed and calibrated in Jaipur.
The weighbridge workhorse.
A double-ended ball cell is supported at both ends and loaded in the middle, sitting on a pair of hardened rocker pins. When a truck brakes or a deck expands in the afternoon heat, the cell rolls slightly and returns to centre on its own. That self-correction is the whole point: it keeps the reading honest through thousands of weighments a day without anyone touching it.
We build it on nickel-plated alloy steel with the strain gauges sealed inside a welded chamber, so cement dust and monsoon water stay out. It is the cell behind the majority of the pitless and pit-type truck scales we have supplied, and it is the one we reach for first when a customer sends us a standard road-weighbridge drawing.
Where it earns its keep.
Road weighbridges
The default cell for 30–100 t pitless and pit-type truck scales — six or eight per deck.
Cement, steel & grain
Heavy, dusty, round-the-clock sites where a drifting corner means a billing dispute.
Scrap & aggregate yards
High traffic and rough handling, where self-centring keeps calibration stable for longer.
Why it stays on the bridge for years.
Self-centring under traffic
Rocker pins shrug off side-load from a moving truck so the cell settles back to true — the reading stays put.
Sealed for the yard
Welded, hermetic IP68 / IP69K construction. Wash-down, dust and four months of rain do not reach the gauge.
Trade-ready accuracy
OIML R60 Class C3 with a calibration certificate, so the finished bridge can be stamped by Legal Metrology.
