The T-type is our answer to the sites that destroy ordinary load cells — coastal weighbridges in salt air, chemical plants with splash and fumes, food and dairy lines under daily wash-down. The body is stainless steel, the gauge chamber is sealed to IP68 / IP69K, and the cable is armoured from the cell outward so a forklift or a hose cannot kill it.
It carries platform and bench weighing duty like a good shear beam, but it is specified for the environment first. When a customer tells us a cell keeps failing at a wet or corrosive site, this is usually the one we send to end the problem.
